Yeah it never really blows up and turns the corner which would be fine by me. Takes a lot of the pain out of the equation. Let’s just keep getting some intermittent fantasy runs this week and we may have a shot second week of January

I’m willing to bet the GFS probably catches on the next few suites to the strong -NAO, it’s historically known to whiff on NATL blocking regimes, while models/ens like the EPS is often best for it

Yeah just no cold feed at all on the GFS but there is southern stream energy

This is a great place to be with the trends. A strong Greenland block is looking more and more likely. Some support of a Rex block to pull the PNA more positive and a STJ waking up. As others have said, a more El Nino like pattern in the E Pac. I'll take my chances. Expect to see more fantasy storms until we reel one in.

Yeah, that's due to the depiction of a GL low. You need high pressure in that location to get any cold air feed into our area.
