I’m an Easter Carolina kid and will hold serve to the best bbq comes from the 95 area and east!
If weather models would have advanced as far as other tech/ai we still couldn’t see 7 days into the future.Ahh, inverted wedge near year's end with fading Nina. Precursor to big snowstorm. Guaranteed.
Better than that yellow , eastern styleWhat’s western bbq? If it has red slaw it’s a hell naw!
You probably swear by Cheerwine, Aka flat Dr. Pepper!Better than that yellow , eastern style![]()
Will the Senate approve it though?Man it didn't take long for the NC Only Thread to get tribal.
A rain storm is coming through tomorrow , I would say right on time! This thread is absolutely worthless until we have a storm to track.
I’ve always viewed this in terms of land regionsNow that we have a NC only Thread can I pose a Discussion …..
Western NC- Anything West of I-77 (Maybe 321 if you’re being Picky)
Central NC- I-77 to I-95
Eastern NC - I-95 to Ocean
Thoughts ? I’ve always wondered people’s opinion
I-40 and North is also a different to me too that’s “Northern NC” imo ….. Ok thanks I will take it off the air now

I see these posts and I’m admittedly off. Growing up in Harnett County I thought we were central NC. Knowing what little I do now, that’s probably more eastern. Most of my adult life was spent on the coast and now I think Western NC is the foothills to the western borders.I’ve always viewed this in terms of land regions
Western NC = Mountains & Foothills
Central NC = Piedmont
Eastern NC = Coastal Plain

All those benefits but you’re still angry! My objection to a GT avatar got more reaction than my Order of the Long Leaf Pine. No respect with I worked for the state, when I received it and still no respect....about right![]()
I’ll weigh in on the BBQ then. I’m partial to eastern vinegar but I won’t refuse either.Ok, half access. Jk you're good, @EmersonGA is good too, just ensure all discussion is North Cackalacky related
The real question is: eastern or western NC BBQ?![]()

I used to like the southeast maps that showed where it was raining when it was snowing at my house. North of I 40.New base forecasting map explicitly for NC only. The rest of the SE sucks, and apparently NC folks only talk about NC weather, so NC only maps here on out View attachment 179188

Things don’t work like they used to.It’s definitely been getting consistently warmer around the holidays, especially compared to when I was a kid.
For example, 65F+ days, maybe you’d get one or two of them back in the day in the core of the holidays (Xmas Eve to New Years)?
Now we just get them nearly half the time, sometimes more.
Used to rarely get warm enough to play golf or hit the beach at Christmas time. But since about 2015 or so, it’s been a discussion point in my family it seems every other year or so.
This is the percent of 65F+ days at RDU & FAY between Xmas Eve & New Years since I’ve been alive
