Apparently it did hit 74 today, but then the rain made it retreat to 68-69.
Really amazing stuff for August. I'm wishing I played hooky from work because 1. it's too cold in here and 2. this is perfect weather to have fun outside in.

306hrs out is almost a guarantee.
KSPA (Spartanburg) has been at 64F since 8:35pm yesterday. Over 20 hours straight now

Yeah here at my house it's ranged between 64-66 degrees all day. This has to be historically cool weather for this time of the year. I can't remember a time I've been alive personally(I'm 33) that it's been this cool in early August.

A storm that strong in that spot would pound parts of upstate SC, most likely 221 and east. But it'll be gone soon enough.
That’s what I was saying the other day. I need some in depth research on this temperature swing because I don’t remember anything like it in my 37 years

We want make it higher than 64 today here in the Triad. Nothing like sub 70's High Temps in early August. Those normal mid 80 temps next week will feel like a Sauna , when they return

Only a little over 0.8" combined for Sun/Mon in precip, and I'm honestly not seeing it on the rain threat today. Short range models have had it splitting Augusta, and the radar honestly says yes to the idea of it.
Edit: Still think that was very beneficial rain though as a most of the day event.

Pretty remarkable that many of us went from some type of record heat to record low highs days later. We'll be talking about this July/August for a long time. This is why we all follow the weather; cool stuff!
