Misc General Banter Thread

Ok the headline says it could feel like 110. That would mean actual temps would probably be well over 100. Is any part of Alaska really going to be that hot ?
Reading the article and there is this bit "With nearly 22 hours of sunlight approaching the solstice, daytime heat accumulates and lingers — not just outside, but indoors. Unlike the Lower 48, most homes in Alaska weren’t built to keep heat out, but to keep it in during months of subzero cold. The thick insulation this requires turns houses into ovens during extended periods of hot temperatures." Makes sense I suppose.

I bet a lot of homes don't have AC up there either

It's different down here. I've been up north before with places that had no AC

I guess dewpoints in the low to mid 40s will help a little. 87 with a dp of 42 is a lot easier to handle than 87 with a dp of 70.
