snowing lightly but heavier than a flurry. I'll take what I can get and go on a "Jeb walk" as I might not see snow again for another 4 years
Decent sleet/flurry mix now.
32/18 I really hope we can realize more IP through around midnight in this area otherwise this is going to probably be one of the bigger ice storms I've seen

I was getting a heavy mix of both under that
Hrrr says 0.6 QPF here. Hope that’s not liquid when it’s falling bc yikes

Once the column moistens and you get sufficient lift in the DGZ, this is about where the snow-sleet line is based on the GSP, CAE, & RAX radars
Still just light dandruff flakes here. First snow I’ve seen IMBY in three years, so there’s that.
I'd toss the RGEM for NC, DPs at +3hrs are a good 5-7 degrees below obs. NAM 3k is running a bit warmer than obs on both surface and dews, 12k however lines up nicely with ops as of 4pm, at-least for central and eastern NC.

Got to 2" of snow and has been zr mostly and sleet since. Made a trip to mother in laws and roads are trash. Ice cycles hanging off every sign. Steady zr still!

Yep my brother said it took him 1 1/2 hours to get from Clemmons to Winston.
We haven’t had any precip in a couple of hours but the latest HRRR has around .40 of qpf from now thru tonight. Will be interested to see if we get some freezing rain tonight up here or anymore snow.

Grass, roofs, car tops and covered sidewalks are turning white. If we can stay snow during the heavy returns then we might achieve the 1-2"
