Don't wanna over analyze the ICON, but it also has convection blocking moisture transport in the gulf... which is probably bogus, but maybe not? But that's one reason the qpf isn't great...
Wave is more amped but that press in the east is a bit better. May balance out
Really sad how hard this is.

The western carolinas might get a big one shortly. 850's are colder due to the confluence with the more amped wave
This run is going to be massive but I'm not sure this low isn't going to cut
Rain snow line is pretty far south on the 18z GFS
