That I agree with...I think everyone agrees with that. But having billionaires target the rank and file within our govt and going after the VA and DOE is not the right first step. The spending has been out of control for as long as I can remember...and that's due to the bureaucrats.

We are going in circles now....we both agree something needs to be done.

We disagree about Elon/Viveck's DOGE group...you like it...I hate everything they have said so far. Nothing is going to change your mind...nothing will change my mind. Let's agree to disagree on that aspect.

Why, does he not have the experience and expertise? I get where you are coming from as far as his business but if he can help the govt develop technology that would be less wasteful and save tax payers money wouldn’t you be for that? Or is it just because he is on the conservative side that you have to show disagreement?

I would say not as bad as the previous admin! We might spend a ton on deportations of illegals but we will save a ton on not supplying them unwarranted benefits for a vote that didn’t happen!

Well then offer a solution. Who do you think should be in charge of it or what should be done? It's ok to ask questions man but damn you come out the gates with nothing but a talking point from a Liberal and Said F you Elon. That is just dumb when Elon and Vivek are two of the best in the world at doing this. The fact that you are so hell bent on him not working in our interest is puzzling

You have already had your ass handed to you on this by storms of fury, myself and others. Seems like we have to do this every 2 or 3 weeks with you. Economic is one of the many political topics you stink at.....LOL

35 trillion dollar question but that's why you hire experts. It's going to be painful for some but it has to be done, we don't have a choice anymore because we kicked the can down the road for far too long.....both parties

I agree with you here, but I have no clue where we are going to be able to make cuts, besides making things more efficient, but that will not be nearly enough. The obvious place of course is cutting entitlements way back or even out, but too many ordinary people will be hurt badly if they try it.

Also of course, and it may not be too long, the whole house of cards comes down and we default. If that happens, we ALL get hurt. The govt faces some tough choices.

Thanks but most of us do it because we want to! I thought at the time , I’m tired of school, I’ll join the Marines. It was nothing but learning for the first few years! I retired in 2015. I would maybe do some things differently but I enjoyed the people and camaraderie more than anything. Nothing like being from a farm in Harnett County to being in such a diverse background!

That is true, the military is all volunteers right now. The best thing Nixon did was end the draft. Of course, if we end up in WW3 it will need to come back because most of the younger crowd today wants no part of serving.

Most? Yes I would agree. I attribute that to liberal schools preaching that college is a must to be successful, yet so many are in debt to their eyeballs for a degree that has no traction in the real world. With the woke bs and Covid mandates a few years back I talked my son out of enlisting . He went on to blue collar which he is set to be successful going forward. My nephew graduated from Parris Island today! Insanely proud of both of them!

Again...we are going in circles. I already stated what I would start with. Do you even know who Viveck is? I have no clue why you think he is one of the best people to fix our budget/deficit. The shxt he has done over the years and the people he has screwed over to get where he is unreal. It's clear you don't know what you are talking about. I have said my peace about Elon. Your pathetic excuses of why Trump spent trillions doesn't count. You excuse trumps covid spending but not bidens. Your economics are a joke.

I did my last 2 years with SFR Fast Company. I screened for RECON, got accepted then denied so I got my BUDS contract with the Navy at relist and spent 18 years in the Teams. Did 6 combat deployments. Marines will always have a special place in my heart. There is nothing like a Marine!

Wrong the states cannot force a certain religion on anyone....if 51% of people of some state decide to abolish/ban Christianity would that be ok? Guys like this are infringing on the civil rights of his students...and blatantly ignoring the Constitution they pretend to hold so dear.
