Presidential Election 2024

Surely you don't think that political donations to politicians is the same as literally telling people to go register to vote and then paying the money to do so right

Edit is it legal to hand someone a bottle of water if they're in line to vote but you can pay them a million dollars and a lottery if they register the math just doesn't add up

As long as they're not telling you who to vote for, it's not illegal.

Unethical? Perhaps...

So if Obama had gone around to homeless shelters and was offering money for them to register and vote the right would have been fine with that or consider it ballot harvesting? Rememeber the maga crowd got pissed off if you helped elderly in nursing homes vote

Wait the same small rural towns that vote red if EVERY election swung this? Yall trip me out haha
No it was Dems like me that had enough of the wok agenda and didn't like being told I was killing Grandma because I wouldn't take that experimental shot or make my 6yr old wear a mask to school for no reason. Also Harris was the worst candidate of my lifetime for either party except maybe Mondale

Kinda like offering student loan forgiveness and then going onto college campuses across the nation and encouraging the students to vote? Love how the talk of her forgiving student loans dialed down while her college campus presence went up at the same time, can't have these two associated too closely. I'll still say this was a ploy to buy votes, and was a bit sick how they the Harris camp were shipping celebs to campuses the day of to get folks to vote.

OH, still didn't work....

Harris was equivalent to the right's Sarah Palin

First of all, Elon Musk isn't a candidate for office. Obama was.

Second, it's a very massive strerch to describe what Elon Musk is doing as ballot harvesting. If you're going to go down that path, one can also equally go as far as to argue the mail-in ballot efforts by Dems during COVID was ballot harvesting as well.

Speaking of, I wonder how Michael Moore is doing? He went completely MIA and didn't post at all on Twitter yesterday.

He was awfully loud and arrogant about Kamala winning before thre results came out, even though as a fellow native Michigander (like myself) he knew better....

Yeah I saw his last interview He was adamant about Trump losing.

Landslide.

Every state that Utah went right. Yep that's a wave.
Now the question is will the left accept the mandate and support Trump’s policies that got him elected? Or will they go the route of 2016 and try to stand in the way of the will of the people? Early remarks make me think they will oppose him at every opportunity, further showing the average American the left doesn’t care about them.

Yeah, there were big rightward shifts in some deep blue states, which contributed to Trump winning the popular vote this time around. Quite interesting.
Which is why when a mandate or landslide is mentioned, this is what people mean. We are a divided nation politically, but there is no discounting it when basically every demographic except white college educated women went more for Trump, and that Trump received a lot more support in deep blue states. When looking at 3 specific states and the vote totals, no it is not a mandate. When looking at the trends across the country and how Trump gained support among almost all demographics and states, it can definitely be considered a mandate. Personally I think it is more indicative of the current economy/inflation but still. People voted more to the Right this election and that can't be argued against nor can you spin it.

Is that kind of like how the Republicans worked with Biden on that border policy that they shot down I mean why do you expect the left to suddenly just fall in line with the Republicans when the Republicans never just fell in line with the left after Biden's mandate

In a silver lining for the DNC, this might be a good election for them going forward in regards to the Country. If they can re-align and stop catering to the demands of the woke, loud minority in their party, they might just get back to a common sense approach and focus on the 2/3's of the nation that aren't wealthy elites or ideologues with special interests. Get back to what used to make the democratic party a formidable entity. Focus on the working class, merit based systems, and for Heaven's sake, reasonable immigration with a secure border. I say if the DNC can move in this direction, it's better for them, and for all of us.

Woke equals fear for the right how many times have you interacted with a transgender how many times have you been corrected on using the wrong pronoun how many times have you actually seen or heard of something like that happening with someone you know it happens on such a rare occasion but yet you would think that people have this happening everyday all around them and it just doesn't happen it's just a fear that you've been sold on

Hopefully Biden will pardon every single illegal immigrant just a blanket pardon off for all of them and Grant them Amnesty on his way out the door

You all keep bringing up that border bill, yet none of you (including Kamala Harris herself) seem to have a good answer to this simple question. But I'll try asking one more time:

Since the Democrats controlled all 3 branches of the government at the time, why do they keep blaming Republicans for it not passing?

The only fear I see and hear is coming from people like you.

I have a woke daughter, so, every day.

Shaggy knows this. But the walls have closed in, and all of the main left wing narratives have been so utterly blown apart by common sense people who have finally decided to stand up and say "enough" that it's pretty much all he has left...scraping the bottom of the barrel, as it were.
