I personally am not certain that La Niña does the same as they used to. We just went through a 3 year long La Niña and never sniffed drought conditions. It should also be pointed out that the two coldest winters we’ve seen since 2015 have been in La NiñaA shower would be welcomed. Drying out fast out there now ( top soil) , which is typical in the Fall for us. La-nina winters aren't known for dampening the soil. Love to avoid the seeds for a drought next year being sown.

Definitely a warm pattern in general but the general signs are there. Lots of Scandinavian ridging which is a classic -NAO precursor. +TNH as well which should flood colder into Canada later into October with the TPV sitting in NNA. like that GOAK/AK ridge in place, especially if we try and do something crazy with it and go poleward. Not really saying this for the sake of snow but rather BN temps in the extendedHopefully after we set some records we get back into some cool weather around Halloween

"Just need to paint a furry plump possum forging around down there on the ground....and maybe a little bird up here in the tree. You know just to say hello maybe keep him company."That looks like a Bob Ross painting.
