The 18z Gfs is even drier. I am really beginning to wonder when the El Nino will kick in. It's a LaNina pattern right through day 16 now. D4 drought is a lock for many of us it looks like.

Of course this didn't materialize. I probably wouldn't have even put that out 4 days in advance in this pattern. 4 day rainfall forecasts are as useless as a 4 day snowfall forecast right now. This is getting ridiculous

You probably don't actually. He wouldn't say what you wanted to hear. He's not really enthusiastic about this winter from what I see. With the El Nino fairly strong and east based that's not really a recipe for a great winter.

The drought was so bad, some corn farmers are skipping harvesting corn and just bailing their crops for feed! Sucky year for corn! Hope we make up ground moisture this winter!
