Wintry 01/28-29/2022 Winter Weather Potential

That's what I'm claiming (1/4"). I think I got the least of anybody else in Wake County. It's pretty this morning. Everything is covered; just didn't get the amounts folks did south of me.
No I got way less . Forget a fourth nothings covered it’s almost bare .

Would never know it snowed in Zebulon . It’s all bare now . What little we had is gone . I’ve seen heavier frosts than that.

Thats NOT Carolina Beach..
It’s a pier near there. All I know is these people live at Carolina Beach, and it’s a pic of a pier

Great pictures from NC. Not sure I remember the last time we had a winter where middle Tennessee and North Carolina did so good in the same season. I got around a half inch yesterday which puts me at 12.75 inches for the season. Hopefully I can top 13 inches for the first time since 2016 when I got 14 plus inches. This is also the second season in a row that I’ve had at least 12 inches which I think is the first time that’s happened since I’ve lived here in 2006. Next winter is probably going to be a dud due to the law of averages but thats living in the southeast for ya.

Band set up north to south between Boston and providence is easily doing 2-3”/hour rates. Maybe higher in some areas of convection (4-5”). 522dm going sub 520. Cyclone sub 980. What a storm for the NE.
I’ve been watching that band and it literally has not moved in over 5 hours… somewhere under that is gonna end up with 3’ or more

Eric Webb's Totals Map. Really painful in Alamance.

I don't recall seeing an event put down at least a trace of snow across the entire state of NC that also has such low amounts across the majority of the state (outside the mountains). Usually some localized region gets at least 6'' somewhere. The most I see in the piedmont/coastal plain is 3.5''.
