Nice longwave pattern. If it were winter, someone would get a snowstorm. They still might. What does the surface look like?Oh man oh man oh man View attachment 95837View attachment 95838
Need a -tilt earlier for overrunning but man the cold is legit, straight up arctic root View attachment 95839View attachment 95840View attachment 95841View attachment 95842View attachment 95845
Has support so we hug, has a good solution so we hugIt’s the GFS. I trust it as much as I trust a politician.
Don’t they say it’s usually warm before a snow storm ?This little warm up is gonna be nice before a colder pattern returns, it’s nice to have warm bouts every now and then, mid 60s/low 70s would feel great View attachment 95834View attachment 95835
That's a really impressive cold shot.-850s knocking on the door right into the bahamas, it’s happy hour alright View attachment 95847View attachment 95846

Signal still looks great for a big finger of arctic air and this far out theres bound to be minute differences .. as long as the cold air is still in play we got something to play around with
Trough so deep that it creates its own block above still some western ridging going on makes me think this wouldn’t go straight to a SER like the GFS did on its operationalEuro broke View attachment 95864
More snow off Jacksonville FL, than over Jimmys house!???Early afternoon temps on Sunday 12/5. Even if you warmed these 5-10 degrees still would be a hell of a cold shot for early December View attachment 95868

Eh what's going on off shore is more likely tied to the -10c 850s riding over the gulf stream rather than a true system being too far SE.We need a Nortwest trend for US folks on the Coast!
Euro ensembles? Control?Good grief where's the sign up sheet for the day 7-10 euro. First decent widespread rain in a long time followed by a shot at getting some flakes in the air then the coldest air mass a good chunk of the region has seen since probably 2018
Control supports the deep trough from the op but the only snow which is light is in TN/AL/Ms which seems to be common on the back side of these deep cold troughs. Most of the ensembles are empty for us. Best signal is to the west for any snow. They might not be picking up on some potential light/convective stuff as the upper trough passes though but I wouldn't bet on it.Euro ensembles? Control?
