It was only a matter of time before RDU hit 100. GSO has hit 100 in may, we have hit it October . That may 99 record was always one of the lowball all time records . Definitely one of the easier ones to challenge I think.

I think we can challenge it , it’s definitely one of the easier records to challenge . Some other “easy” all time ones : November record high , March record low , December record low . Maybe April record high and low as well.

Challenge sure. Hitting 100 is hard and I'm not sure I see the classic 100s setup there

Heat waves do not deserve threads ... unless it’s like a stretch of like 105-110 and substantial health concerns become apparent .. don’t think they deserve threads... I would say the same for cold too unless it was a stretch of like negatives or something

Yeah I agree. Most of us are due to start seeing our first 90 degree day anyway.

Yep, that summer was fun for storms as well, wasn’t until the September-October 2019 until the drought came back with that heat wave

We are down here in shiner TX and these storms are freaking amazing.
Looks like we are the boundary of storms west to east with a sea breeze boundary from the south

Most likely we’re not looking at widespread 100 degree heat with this. The EURO tends to be a few degrees too warm in this type of set up.

Maybe not there but the NWS is forecasting temps around 100 in many locations in Central and South GA. Some areas could hit 100 on at least 2 days.

Per Gfs when the real heat gets in here (showing mid 90s respectively now) it also looks to be accompanied by some afternoon storms that could help cool whoever they hit down.. if u don’t get hit with a storm .. it’s roast time for u

Looks like Friday is the real day to get cooled down as the ridge really digs in, dews drop, and we may get scattered CU to help keep temps down. Late Saturday we start the real furnace
