Rain followed me all the way from chapel hill to home . Nice. Had @SD invited me over perhaps it would have followed me there but alas he didn’t.
 
Had another round of rain. This one was heavier and lasted longer. Hope it washed away the remaining pollen.

6z GFS for the next five days. It's one of the dryer models for the central NC area, but the way things have gone you have to believe it. I was lucky to get .13" yesterday.

The GEPS and GEFS are showing a pattern change starting around the 15th of May. Ridge developing over the central U.S
 
I see our fantasy range heat and SE ridge was merely a mirage.

After May 15th the MJO will be fast tracking towards the warmer phases and will bring about a pattern change to warmer around the 20th. It's only the beginning of May, long lasting warmth doesn't really arrive until later in May per climo

Long lasting warmth should start late April early may ... always has really this year has had some notable longer lasting cool down way later than what would usually happen
