Welp, we tried.
Good news is, is that by Saturday or Sunday, we will find another pattern to get excited about! Don't worry we only average 4-6 days in a row on here with staying upset about a potential bad pattern before we find false hope again. I think we are on day 3 or something right now.

The 15 minutes of flurries I had on Christmas morning has been the highlight of the winter here.

Shoutout to @Webberweather53 @Myfrotho704_ @Ollie Williams @SD and more ! Y’all puttin in the work . Makes me feel lazy in comparison . I’m not meteorologically illiterate really I’m just lazy ! Maybe I should get a subscription to weather bell and start taking the time to put together analogs and such. My speciality is climate knowledge though lol. I did take an intro to met class freshmen year at state . That was a fun one , got to mess around with Matlab.

I honestly feel like dogshit for pushing out a colder look in the medium range A while ago, at this point I’m just not taking risks with -EPOs/-PNAs, that can end up ugly quick, I’m sorry folks

Last winter was really warm and we didn’t get shutout , heck it was a decent snowfall even for northeastern NC .

Nah bro don’t feel that way. It looks up in the air still IMO. I’m one of those people that even if models show something a week away I still think anything is possible . Don’t live or die by the models !
Good forecasting is looking at current conditions and figuring how puzzle pieces fit down the road . Models just spit out solutions .

I mentioned it a few times, but we should have seen it coming considering the tilting of the axis over the Pacific when the east was a +PNA.
Well it would have been fine if our -NAO isn’t vaporizing like how it is in the medium range, unfortunately
