I pass.
Your new overlord "Follow the science" Biden would like to have a word with you.
I pass.
Most likely, assuming it has something like a 90% effectiveness rate, which is why it’s important to vaccinate these groups first. A young, healthy person in his 20s like myself should probably be about the last person to get it (from a public health perspective). The main benefit of someone like me getting it is just not to spread it to others, since my chances of dying from it are hardly statistically different than 0 and even the chances of long term complications are quite low.Suppose we only vaccinated front line healthcare, elderly, and immuno-compromised individuals...wouldn't that pretty much eliminate the vast majority of potential Covid-19 deaths?
They will likely mandate children have it before going to school since that is easy to enforce. They don't get the virus often but people are used to giving in to the immunization requirements.Suppose we only vaccinated front line healthcare, elderly, and immuno-compromised individuals...wouldn't that pretty much eliminate the vast majority of potential Covid-19 deaths?
I have feeling there will suddenly be alot more kids homeschooling too. Way too many people skeptical about this vaccine including meThey will likely mandate children have it before going to school since that is easy to enforce. I love how everyone just shouts conspiracy about a covid vaccine being close to completion post- election as if there wasn't already half a year+'s work put in by numerous companies to deal with it. If the science was in fact capable of developing it that fast you should all be happy it was accomplished by these companies, rather than shouting it's a political conspiracy that was aimed at removing the president. You're also acting like the extreme pressure and resistance was doing nothing. Those overseas protests? Yeah EU leaders typically just cave in to save their chances at re-election. On top of that, what do scientists who have constantly flipped on what to try to combat covid have to do with the US elections directly?
When trump claimed a vaccine BEFORE election day it was celebrated......we knew one was close and trump tried to tout that. Now it's a few days later and everyone acts like this was some new breaking detail.
Not at all. Totally different variables play into why people have been infected suck as being in crowds. Is it correct to say that covid cases have gone up as mask usage has gone up ?

I'm seeing more mask usage than I saw early on in the pandemic. Not at all. Totally different variables play into why people have been infected suck as being in crowds.

Sure seems that way, more people than ever wearing mask and numbers reaching record highs but how dare you come in here and question the mask.Is it correct to say that covid cases have gone up as mask usage has gone up ?
What’s that survive rate again? 98-99%?Sure seems that way, more people than ever wearing mask and numbers reaching record highs but how dare you come in here and question the mask.

Right i never said covid rose because of mask usage. I was just asking if covid cases increased at the same time while more people are wearing masks.Well, technically what you said is not saying covid rose BECAUSE OF the increased mask usage. They've gone up together but covid didn't increase due to increased mask usage. Mask usage likely due to increased covid,
I have noticed that mask usage in the stores is higher than ever. However, in work places it is almost non existent.Right i never said covid rose because of mask usage. I was just asking if covid cases increased at the same time while more people are wearing masks.
Obviously, there were no masks in January and no covid-19. The more people that wear masks the faster it spreads. I think it's safe to say we need to stop wearing masks and go back to normal and it will just go away.Is it correct to say that covid cases have gone up as mask usage has gone up ?
I don't know what or who to believe to be honest. I'm skeptical of everything and everybody.1. Does anyone actually think that mask usage itself has caused an increase in COVID cases?
2. Does anyone really think that increased mask usage hasn't resulted in a reduced rate of increase in Covid cases vs what would have happened without the increase in mask usage?
If yes to either, please provide evidence.
Depends on the work places I suppose. That's the one place I see 100% usage because it's mandated at work.I have noticed that mask usage in the stores is higher than ever. However, in work places it is almost non existent.

False sense of security, we've seen comments on this board when the protest and riot crowds are mentioned, that say "but most were wearing their mask" as justification.I think it will be hard to provide evidence for either because neither is the answer. Personally my thoughts are whatever benefits masking provides is lost to the fact that the mask provides a “safety” factor which leads to longer contact times and less social distancing. This is exactly what the WHO feared about masking in years past.
Is it correct to say that covid cases have gone up as mask usage has gone up ?
Almost 0 here I've had to start going back into Wake CountyI'm see less masks here overall

Well Italy did it and look at them now the virus is back raging
All this would do is push out the increase in cases.Bout a year late for this
I don't disagree. My point was we are too late for drastic substantial measures. Until/unless we close the borders and stop international travel, lockdowns are pointlessAll this would do is push out the increase in cases.
