Pattern August Rush 2020

I guess this happened in August, but it just keeps getting more astonishing! 3251D513-C1C3-46BC-83C0-A53878FC9B05.png

The snap or the radar
Radar lol, I’ve seen that look where random storms develop ahead of a multicell clusters and those random storms around CLT pushing a ofb south several times this year

I'll take a hard pass on the 06z gfs and all its rain over eastern NC. We have had plenty and that only sets us up for possible problems later if we do get another hit.

I’m thinking tomorrow afternoon there could be a legitimate severe weather threat if the MCV is still around and good destabilization occurs, given the deep layer shear is already good, that MCV would boost low level shear

We can scratch any real threat today. Too much cloud cover and pops cut by more than half. Par for the course most of this summer. Very little outside of the mountains at all today in SC and NC. Always lots of hype from the NWS only to have to back down. Every time.
