Coronavirus (Stay on Topic)

Agreed. We need many more people to die.

Umm what, that is most definitely not what I said, thanks for putting words in my mouth, then again I'm not surprised it's coming from you. Hopefully mods remove this garbage post of yours.

If you can’t find good news or things getting better in less people dying you are hopeless. I don’t care where you stand with the virus or political leaning.

You don't care? Umm what? You also do realize he's an actual health professional and probably the most qualified person in here to speak about this topic? I'd suggest taking you and your big ego down a few notches.

If that post is garbage enough to them remove it, I’ll remove myself and save them time.

I respect Jon’s knowledge plenty as I respect his opinion. However that wasn’t a post directed at his medical knowledge or at him.

Trying to imply that I want many more people to die with my recent post is beyond just horrible taste on your part, had absolutely nothing to do with my post and you really should be ashamed of yourself you stooped to that level and typed that... then again like I said I'm not surprised it came from you and don't expect an apology or any sort of humility on your end.

Respect? Ehh no, these are just words to cover yourself. Your other postings certainly say otherwise because you're complaining about his completely warranted negativity and facts that put a serious damper on the notion that less deaths => covid is getting "weaker" myth that so many republicans like yourself are pedaling and clinging to like flies on ?.

Edited to clarify.

It’s also ok I think that people can mention how downtrends in deaths, while amazing, doesn’t mean it’s over. And I know that sounds negative and that’s probably what you’re responding to, but it’s true.

Deaths are a hot topic right now for the right, as they are doing nothing but down trending (which do great). So politically it’s quite polarizing.

But I’m willing to bet deaths will plateau, and at some point, rise again. Reason being is if we don’t take appropriate precautions with mask wearing, we could see ICUs at 100% capacity in many states, which would only stretch resources and increase deaths. It has to by default right? If patients are on floors not meant for intensive care, supplies and resources are stretched. Some patients won’t make it that otherwise would. It’s not a reality in many places now, but it good be.

I’m just trying to shed light that we need to remain vigilant.

The other “idea” here are a lot of younger people are getting it and older are simply still sheltered at home and are continuing not to leave the house as often. Once these 20-40yo’s visit their parents and grandparents we could also see a spike in deaths. Not trying to fear monger here just explaining why we may be seeing what we’re seeing. Pandemics aren’t easy to understand, even by the experts.

Also I’m an eternal optimist, as you guys know from my snowfall forecasts. It’s not over until the last flake flies on the modeling! I’m not too optimistic of where the USA is headed at the moment...

You are pretty much dead on the no apology part and the not being ashamed part. However I have no issues with Jon’s post and if he thinks that he can pm me for clarification. No my two posts were directed at you.

No your posts are fine and I completely agree we should be vigilant.

I’m optimistic in where we are vs where we could be as I read to the best of my ability(which isn’t much) the newer studies. I have no doubt if the ICUs and hospitals continue to grow there will be problems, but for AL for instance at least the rise is slow.

At least you admit you were being a total scumbag for taking my post wildly out of context and saying I want people to die

No your posts are find and I completely agree we should be vigilant.

You also completely agree that the death figures are virtually meaningless regarding covid intensity? Hmm, you must have moved the goalposts already because that definitely doesn't sound like what you were saying a few hours ago when you harassed me about COVID-19 death figures in the US

Oh come that is laughable. Just give me the stat because I highly doubt we have as many crippled from Covid as dead in these states.

Surely haven’t heard it here in this red state or do you believe we are hiding the disabled.

Many also report turning worse week 2. Good luck to you sir, I hope you’re not too confident and take care of yourself. Plenty of rest and fluids. You’re lucky you’ve had such a mild case. I did too, but now have post viral/chronic fatigue syndrome and joint pain and I’m on day 80. I’d take a common cold any day at this point. My punch was soft but the bruise this virus has left is quite obviously long lasting.
I hate to hear that about your chronic fatigue. That is my one worry because that is the one thing that is noticeable right now. I haven’t stopped moving though. I don’t mean to showboat and sound overly confident. I just want everyone to know that contracting Covid is not the end of the world. I would like for everyone to be confident in their ability to overcome this. It’s easy to get caught up in the fear of the unknown. I hope that by writing about my experience on here it can bring the boogeyman into the light.
