Gotta love the models trying to block that upper low over the eastern us below the nao block. That would bode well for a cool start to May

Tied a record high for the day @ 95º yesterday - rinse and repeat on the table for today (1914 being the last 95º on this date) ...

Actually, taking the Weeklies with a necessary grain of salt, May doesn't look to bad after the 1st week -

Would love that! Just cut totals in half, for mixing issues, and I'd still be happy! :)

Keep ridin' that train
Comin' 'round the bend and the engine just gleams!

And you know that notion
Just crossed my mind ...
In honor of Jackyl " When will it rain?" Or CCR "Who'll stop the rain"?

Upstate special

Yep at least on the Euro. That's somewhere between 6-7 inches of rain in my area if this verifies. And now GSP is becoming very interested in Monday for severe weather in our CWA with maybe even a slightly bigger threat going into the Raleigh area if timing stays like it looks now.

It would not take TOO much more cold air for this system to produce snow, and maybe a good bit of it, in parts of the NC mountains. A system in May 1992 did just that. This one is not as cold yet, but that could change.

Looks like timing for the upstate will stifle severe, IMO . Looks like early morning in the 5-11AM timeframe as of now
