100%, no question. Romney’s big problem was he had a huge chunk of evangelicals that stayed home. So not only was he facing a charismatic candidate on the left, he couldn’t even drive out his own base. One of McCains biggest problem is something similar to what you’re seeing with Biden, a big time enthusiasm gap and when that happens you have voters who shrug when they think about going to vote and are far less likely to be a committed voter.
Oh and I almost forgot, Romney wouldn’t even sniff the Republican nomination after the stunt he pulled this past year.

Considering that you’re trying to rationalize not wearing a mask during a global pandemic it’s hard to take anything you say seriously especially when you’re saying Trump is a better 2nd term candidate than Romney or McCain

Trump has also done a lot of things that no reasonable Republican would ever think of doing, such as giving away inside information to Russia for free, completely botching the US's response to covid-19, tanking the economy in the process, and has pulled the party too far to the right.

Did I also forget to mention how much he's been golfing?

Botching the covid response and tanking the economy lol. So you’re saying he shouldn’t have shut things down? That would have been the only way to not tank the economy.
 
Okay. I’m done. The idiots here complaining about wearing a mask is maddening. Go ahead and tell me I’m a horrible person for what I’m about to say. I hope that all of you who are pissed about mask wearing and aren’t wearing one get COVID-19. I hope you pass it to everyone in your family and all your idiot friends who don’t wear a mask in public. Maybe we will get lucky and cull the herd of a few of you.

I would never wish a disease on anyone. That’s uncalled for imo. However, I will say that folks who are pissed about wearing a mask and therefore refuse to wear one are going to have a hard time getting my sympathy should they get the disease as I don’t think they’d deserve sympathy. This also applies to those who intentionally don’t socially distance because they don’t give a crap. I look at it similarly to how I see storm chasers intentionally going into storms and then getting hurt or even killed. Or for nonchasers who wish or pray for dangerous wx to hit their area. That’s on them for doing so and they don’t deserve my sympathy. Remember that your wishing for dangerous wx at your home means you’re wishing dangerous wx that could potentially hurt your family and neighbors, not just you. It is selfish. And don’t give me the “I don’t wish for anyone to get hurt” BS excuse. You’re obviously not actually wishing they get hurt. But if you wish dangerous wx, you’re wishing for something that increases the chance that your family and neighbors are going to get hurt or even killed.

What gets me is that wearing a mask has become so politicized with many more on the right against it vs those on the left. And I’m not at all on the left as I consider myself right of center.

Yeah that's not a stance I would personally take.

However he has said in the past he is high risk with underlying conditions. I could see the anger with so many being nonchalant about his health that he may lash out.

This is a touchy situation with high stakes for many people. We cant walk in everyone elses shoes so we may be quick to judge comments like this while not fully understanding where it's coming from.

If a business requires someone to wear a mask then you wear a mask it’s their right to require it. Now a government telling you to wear a mask is wrong. Me personally when I go outside I’m not gonna wear a mask unless like I said the business requires it or ik I’m gonna be around a majority older population. We went to church this morning they required mask so I wore a mask like everyone else.

Let’s assume they never told him about Russia putting bounties on killing American soldiers. What does it say about this administration if they felt like they needed to keep this information from the president?

It can be a multitude of reasons. I think the bigger question is why would the intelligence Community not tell the president what would they gain from that?

Would you consider it odd that the president wasnt briefed that a foreign adversary was paying terrorist we were in peace talks with to kill our soldiers? I find it odd.

I'll Add this to the numerous comments that trump often blows off security briefings so maybe he is so inept he didn't know despite it being in one of the briefings he breezed through or blew off.

Either way theres really no good excuse for not coming out strong.

Either he knows and he is inept or he doesnt know which means he is inept.

I agree with the idea that wearing a mask is a good thing. People act like it's a totally new idea that somebody just came up with and decreed that we all should do it out of some weird desire for control. Of course masks work and in this situation, they make sense.

What is terrible is hoping someone dies just because they have a different point of view, even if it's wrong.
 
I had recently said that the anarchy/rioting/anti-police/safety issue might give Trump a chance despite being way behind in the polls because I feel the libs are so bad on this issue. But IF the bounties are confirmed the way they were reported and Trump is found to either be inept/uninformed on the bounties or worse yet not caring and still supporting Putin, I think he’d be toast for re-election. The GOP couldn’t do better than this?

Cons should be speaking up on at least having a concern about this. Not doing so is symptomatic of being a hack.

Except the video focuses in on the driver as he throws his fist up and YELLS “white power” more than once. But he didn’t hear it. Ok.

Not the best weekend for Trump! Weak on Russia who are killing our soldiers, tweets out a white power video, and is out to go golf with Lindsey Graham during a pandemic which is exploding.
