Has anyone used the app chipdrop? Pretty cool companies drop off truck loads of mulch for free in places like Charlotte.
Is that your back yard?
Where did you catch those?? Was it in the surf? What about the bait?Bull Whiting are biting too!
Nope but gonna steal the idea because I hate watering. Is that your back yard?
If you see a bed (a distinct clear circular area) ... a plastic worm around and across it slowly, or a small Rapala with a tiny weight 6 inches from the tie, dangled around the bed, can lead to glory ...Bass spawn is already underway, you should fish shallow right now
Portsmouth Island (North Core Banks) caught everyone of those mullet on sandfleas right at the drop off. Most people overthrow them. The sandfleas are right in the wash by your feetWhere did you catch those?? Was it in the surf? What about the bait?
Back in the days we tail rigged a live crawdad and put it right on that bed! Oh my did it piss those big sows off!If you see a bed (a distinct clear circular area) ... a plastic worm around and across it slowly, or a small Rapala with a tiny weight 6 inches from the tie, dangled around the bed, can lead to glory ...

Thinking about putting out my first application of pre em tomorrow since it's always better to be early than late but I'm worried it'll be too early
I was looking at pics and we were greening up in early March last year. The NC State turf program said to put it out early as well they are finding crabgrass is germinating as early as early March nowI legit think my ground is actually frozen right now. Plus with Mega March, I'll be good till April.

I’ve seen daffodils blooming in Raleigh .I know 55 deg is spouted as the default, but it's so broad it's like saying "Oh it's below freezing, so it will snow". I think solar insolation isn't given enough credit here. At 4" depth I might be 50 degree, but at the 1" depth I could be at 60 or 65, especially given the last few Februarys and how warm they've been.
I just go by feel for my yard. I have some pansies in the beds every fall that I let over winter. When I start seeing them re-green and the daffodils growing then I know.
The Fescue is far more wind burnt and browned out this year than the last few years, and the Zoysia is the most golden tan i've ever seen it.
I think we frost or freeze next weekend. As much as I want to get things going I'm waiting until Easter weekend to do a lot of planting unless the models change significantlyAnyone think it's too early to sow zinnias?
