If you're a NASCAR fan, check out what Kyle Larson said last night in an iRace.

OOPS

I mean why would you say that word in that situation to begin with? Makes me think he's probably said it before in other situations when he's been out and about. Rolling my eyes at his apology.

Person A: Who is your favorite athlete
Person B: Jared Goff. How about you?
Person A: My name is not Jared, and I don't care for golf!

I went running today in a park with trails, no one around, ect..while going thru a wooded area, I started walking because I heard this deep gargling like sound. At that same time there were two squirrels going crazy above me within 10 feet of me. I know this from when I used to go hunting when I was a kid squirrels that are barking and scurrying around mean there is another animal close by.. well I started hearing the gargling noises again I took off... I thought that was an alligator and I was right according to YouTube The Sound I heard today in the woods was exactly an alligator. No telling how close I was to that fool. That was my first close call since living in Charleston. It was a deep growling gargling sound.

No, just built a house below a massive hillside. I wasn’t thinking. This is behind my backyard.

Flock is a great ground cover and stays green year round. Plus blooms in spring.

I think with our stimulus check, when we do our taxes we have to give it ALL back. We're simply borrowing the money.

Wow! You have a beautiful yard!

Thanks! The previous owner was a single older woman who let ivy overtake all of the trees and it covered the ground. So needless to say there were trees that had fallen and ivy covered everything almost right up to the house. I took out 30 small trees, filled up a large dumpster with limbs, mowed and poisoned the ivy over a 2 year period, removed some old wooden structures, filled in a large hole with the dead ivy that fell off the trees after a year, etc.

I got a mega $71 tax return

I'm one of the ones that hasn't gotten their stimulus and after doing my taxes owe them $1200. I don't know about you guys, it feels like every month I'm spending hours on the phone with either a credit card company, cable company, etc. pointing out incorrect charges constantly. The best was when comcast was charging me for my own modem for 3 years. They literally fought me weeks about it. I caught Amex charging me $70 dollars in interest last month for no reason. "I'm not sure why you got charged that, let me have that removed." Medical is the best: "Why don't you code the crap correctly so that my insurance pays it." "Oh ok, yeah I guess we can do that."

Morons and criminals abound.

Well at least you were not blocked from responding. I was responding to Shaggy when he made a comment about the president. Sheesh. No room for error with some. Some like power and authority.
That's exactly what it is, your ability to deflect point fingers is unmatched

Understand. I have been told there are favorites here which is understandable. It’s your all board.

2020 the year that keeps on giving

I see folks say they like "this weather or that weather" and people respond "well you should move here or there". For me, I like cold & snowy in the winter and warm/tropical in the summer. I can't afford a secondary home at this point. Ideally, a house just south of Jamestown NY (insane lake effect snows), and one in St Croix for the summer would do just fine. Is liking the extremes odd or normal for most of you?

I wrote about some of this in the stock market thread last night but will here now with some different detail...

I went out for the first time in a couple weeks yesterday (I don't count driving on country roads, which I might honestly do again early next week). It definitely felt weird to, but honestly one of the main highways felt like it had normal traffic for an area that's supposed to be shut down, and I've felt that way when I look at that road on foot too. Maybe part of the reason it felt like there's normal traffic is because of the major medical district and other essential businesses like Plant Vogtle (who has now had several positive cases but I think they haven't shut down, just sent people that are positive home and now have had to furlough people).

Walgreens was pretty quiet, there wasn't many people in the store, and the Farmer's Market we went to really didn't have many either. Most of the market people (workers and customers) had on masks, we were one of the few that didn't...honestly unless I'm forced to I don't like masks, my mom would probably like one but doesn't have one, and my dad just doesn't care.

May leave the general area again next Thursday, I suggested that we go pick strawberries to support a smaller but nice facility, but this place would be out in the country this time. We haven't been since I was little but I would be surprised if they weren't still around.
Your dad seems like a very reasonable and likable guy!
