Severe Severe Weather Threat April 2-3

Wonder if emergency management just went to the wrong area with this conflicting information here?

Velocity at time of Warned Storm in Paulding County

WSB saying there were no tornado touch downs. No indications of rotation at this time and the SS warning over Atlanta has expired.

I'm about 5 minutes from the airport and we're dry so far but it's getting very dark out.

Yeah I keep seeing reports of injuries despite some news organizations saying nothing happened.

My sons roommate is at home in Dallas and says there are tops of trees that were snapped off. He is about 2 miles from where the reports are coming from.

Seems to be a lot of confusion. WSB keeps saying there was not a touchdown and no inuries.

Well I'll find out soon enough on my way home later I live about 5 miles from the area that was hit

Yeah, tornado warnings have popped up twice in the last few minutes for areas in central Georgia

Friend of mine just got out in Dallas, GA and can't find damage anywhere after what he was hearing reported.

Finally raining hard enough to really tell here. Going to be interesting how unstable it gets here after this area gets out and we have a break, especially if we see some cloud breaks.

There are 2 currently. One headed for Macon, another crossing from griffin to the north east through Henry county.

The uh oh is I'm upstream, although these storms might weaken eastward. This area that is here looked a little ominous when it was closer to Macon but when I looked again a little over 20 mins later, it was turning into just light/moderate rain.

Augusta National already said they're going to close early due to inclement weather. The actual Master's tournament might be delayed if late this week comes true.

dew points up 7 degrees in the last 2 hours here, I'm impressed
71/57 at 1:00 pm at RDU. Unfortunately, most modeling, including the 15z HRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrr keep the most intense part of the line just south of Wake Co. through the evening. They're also continuing the trend of lessening any subsequent activity, sans the 3k NAM, which has some nice follow-up later on.

Now just one tornado warning but if this one doesn't weaken, it's going to barrel right toward me, wonderful...

Awesome...

16z looks a little more significant for your area.....
and 72/57 here quite impressive considering just 3 hrs ago DP was 41

Yup on both. Just saw the 16z. Will probably be weaker again on the 17z, lol.

Cape is starting to increase from the SE, if we can muster a couple hundred J/KG of ML cape we should see the line hold its own if not strengthen a little

Hmmmm, if the above is the case, I wonder when the severe thunderstorm watch is coming for here. There already is a watch, but on the SC border counties, there isn't one.

Any idea when the storms will get here? Wonder if we'll get my son's baseball practice in at 6:00.
