There’s still some site traffic. You don’t have to fight through the hopeless snow goober posts as much in Summer so that’s a plus
Yep that’s a positive not having to worry about a snow threat that will fail

I'm normally on here during our winter months, that said so long everyone, LOL. Really, I'm on here all fall/winter months some during slow business hours and more severe/floods/hurricanes season months. I'm never on here during a heat outbreak, that does not excites me.Lol question, how is it here in the summer, is it dead or what ? I joined last October lol
NHL legitimately looking at Carter Finley Stadium in Raleigh as a possible site for an outdoor NHL winter classic game within the next few years. Oh man this would be so awesome.
LOL how will they keep the rink groomed with 2m’s in the upper 60’s?
North Carolina has a new education proposal where everything above an 84 is an A? smdh

I am sure when hockey is played inside (hockey arena) they building temp is kept around 68 degrees. If it was much colder people wouldn’t come and watch the games. Plus when they created the ring it has several layers.LOL how will they keep the rink groomed with 2m’s in the upper 60’s?
But what about the sun and 100% humidity?I am sure when hockey is played inside (hockey arena) they building temp is kept around 68 degrees. If it was much colder people wouldn’t come and watch the games. Plus when they created the ring it has several layers.
I am sure the ice machine that they run over the floor packs it down nicely. But what about the sun and 100% humidity?
And here I am with an 8,and 6 year old and this math that they teach them makes my head want to explode.I never really partied but I mostly used my two years away at university to have fun. And although I'm quiet, I really did, snow or no snow because of the Berry College WMA, other wilderness areas, and I got to spend more time with my mom's side of the family.
And realized I wasn't ready to commit to doing something. My major regret of back then is committing to attending university when I wasn't ready to. I'm quite fine with what I ended up doing if I can eventually attain a full time job, but I wish I did what I did back in 2017 and early 2018 first, got a job and worked for a year, then eventually just gone to the hometown university or a place like Georgia Southern. As of now though, outside of the slim possibility of me trying to get into a program for basically one more year of classes, I'm just done with college lol.
I'm another in which if math didn't make me meltdown majorly, I'd have tried to get into meteorology from the start. I had to have my hands held in math all the way through high school. I was not a bad student, I was normally pretty good, but I absolutely would have failed high school due to math and math alone if my dad did not hold my hands. If it was not my dad, you simply did not get through my head with it.
I love math. I'm such a nerdMath is what killed my meteorology dream, but in the end Im thankful. I enjoy weather much more as a hobby when I may have hated it if I had to do it as a job.
Besides getting good pay, state insurance, a four day work week and the ability to
retire when Im 47 is probably better.
So for me, ADEM certification + CDL > Meteorology degree.

CDL helps with a lot of jobs these days, especially if you’re a good one. There is an absolute shorty of truck drivers these days. Companies are begging for drivers, however you have to start at the bottom to appreciate the top.Math is what killed my meteorology dream, but in the end Im thankful. It’s so funny that algebra 1 was dreadful for me. Algebra 2 a breeze, geometry a breeze, pre cal and cal was hard but I got it done. That’s as far as I got but granted that was 20 years ago. Teachers make a yuge difference.Im pretty good at some math such as the fomulas we had to learn and I dont mind it at all. However get past Algebra 1 and I believe a rock could do it better.
Swear Math was harder in HS than it has been in college lol. Back in HS they would not let us use calculators at ALL. Now in college I have taken Calculus 1&2, Finite, and Statistics. Getting to use a calculator/Excel makes life a lot easier.
I used to love math, it was always my favorite subject.........until I got into high school. I enjoyed learning Algebra and Trigonometry, but anything above that like Geometry or Calculus was hell. Especially Calculus my junior year, it was like someone took a frying pan to the back of my head, brain completely went blank. It's nothing to really be proud of, but that was the one class in high school I was glad to BARELY pass with a C average. Like many of you, I was headset on going into Meteorology, but high school quickly changed that, plus I sucked at Physics also so.....I thought maybe graphic design would be a much better fit for me instead lol.
speaking of math what’s the equation for a SE snowstorm, its supposedly so hard to solve this winter

Watched the weather channel once when I was 5, gained interest in weather, really started learning about the more in depth stuff these past few years, I used to be lost on some of this stuff just a few years ago but it made me realized i need to learn and study about this, and this place has helped me out a whole lot aswellBro how do you know so much about weather at 17 lol?
