Isn't that what makes us a "subtropical climate"? No jet in the summer, and completely dependent on thunderstorms?

Pretty amazing around here, down here in the South end of the County we got dumped on yesterday evening.
 
Wilkesboro just had like a 2.6 magnitude earthquake! The birds must angry! :D

Thunderstorm I had yesterday was very intense, about 5 inches of rain, with 40 plus wind gust, and half in hail, that fell for about 20 minutes alone.

I got an 80% chance this evening and NWS saying storms could last deep into the night and highs staying in the 70s tomorrow! All we have is hope!

Woke up to moderate rain this morning, .7 total overnight.... hope you get it today.
 
Nothing like some morning showers and clouds out of nowhere, to screw up the heating and instability! SMDH! Going on about day 15 with zero rain!

Like how the 70% chance of storms for weeks in a row turns into a challenging forecast at the last minute (challenging meaning, no rain for us).

You could see the CAMs models shoving that outflow south of the area on the Saturday runs and initiating convection along it. Oh well my sprinklers continue to run

It's good. Still having to keep it watered. Finished up the entire back last Monday. Should have everything germinated soon.
