Yes please. Let's keep any storm out of the Gulf. Anything that goes in there will become a massive hurricane for sure, if little dry air is present.

its really amazing how long it's been since a major was in the Central/Northern Gulf... have to go back to about 2008... Gustav, just shows how crazy 2004/2005 was... very little since

the luck is going to run out sooner or later

Hermine was enough ... small but quite enough, thank you ... :confused:
 
0z CMC has a significant hurricane into the FL Panhandle at 240 hours

UKMET is almost a hurricane at 144 hours entering the Bahamas on a track towards S FL/Gulf

This *may* get interesting
 
Certainly seems if 92L develops it is the most likely eventual threat to the US...

Guidance does also favors a weak system at this time too..

This one is just going to flutter along the way, and not really do much. Just maybe depending on how well it holds up similar to 99L that eventually became Gert, it could develop once it gets closer to the U.S.
