I know you’re joking but tropical tidbits issue with the FV3 is that it doesn’t differentiate other Precip types. Obviously there’s not one single snowflake over Central NC or southern VA here...it’s all zr.

It’s going to be a long winter with those kind of weenie maps publicly available

It’s officially sleeting on lookout mountain in Chattanooga right now. I’m on a hike up there and was totally not expecting it. First frozen precipitation of the season for me!

It got down to 21 this morning, which was a little warmer than forecast. Now its sunny and 40.

Did you have some clouds last night? I got down to 22 degrees so thought maybe you’d hit the teens last night. My high topped out at 37 or 38 which usually doesn’t happen till December.

Technically it is Mid Nov if you break up Nov into early (1-10), middle (11-20), and late (21-30).
