Wintry Midsouth Winter Storm January 12th-13th

I think at best, this is a Plateau westward storm for TN but obviously anything can happen. I never count on snow in Nashville unless I see it falling from the sky.
Nashville has done pretty well in recent years havent they ?

Why are people acting like this is trending bad ??? This was never an ideal setup for Alabama , Georgia or east Tennessee. This has always been a good setup for northern Mississippi and West Tennessee. I think some people have unrealistic expectations of your SE of those areas. Things will change over the next 48 hours but this has always been a system that favors the NW parts of the region

Lol I never said it was trending bad, just making an observation compared to yesterday, that is all.

NWS MEG is forecasting 3-5 inches of snow for my area of NW tennessee friday. That's ice and snow.

...A Winter Weather Event Possible Across Middle Tennessee Friday
into Saturday...

There is the possiblity of a winter weather event across Middle
Tennessee Friday into Saturday, with accumulations of ice and snow
creating hazardous travel.

An approaching frontal system will produce numerous light to
moderate rain showers Thursday night into Friday. As the cold
front crosses the area from west to east on Friday, temperatures
will fall below freezing, changing rain to freezing rain and
snow. By Friday evening, precipitation will be all snow. The snow
could continue into Saturday as well. On top of some ice
accumulation, several inches of snow could fall, especially across
the northern Highland Rim. Temperatures will be in the 20s Friday
night through Saturday, so hazardous travel is likely.

There is still a significant amount of uncertainty with this
possible winter weather event that is still more than 48 hours
out. Stay tuned for further information from the National Weather
Service Office in Nashville along with our media partners that
serve Middle Tennessee for the latest updates on this potential
winter weather event.

I would say this was trending worse by just some of the runs that pushed the snow down into the north central areas of MS and AL. Some runs. I think NMS and the TN valley have a shot and certainly from Nashville west to Memphis

No it's all good. Just thought my comment was pretty straight forward and didn't know how it could be misinterpreted. We all need some snow
Yeah, like ground temps won't be an issue on a borderline event. GFS looks a little N
