Man if the NAM is right, folks in those areas are going to get destroyed. This is basically the comma head of the storm system forming on top of them. No doubt there will be some insane lift, stretching, and deformation-banding like features. Thundersnow reports will be common in some areas.
Holy cow...of course have to check soundings but this is for you Larry...NAM is not changing it's course, like others said I'd weigh more towards nam and short range guidance before global/ensembles at this point.

Yep much more SW. not sure about precip over Nc are we ever sure?? There wasn’t much precip over Central Nc on the 12z..

More than likely but it has my attention for sure, especially more northward but south Alabama, who knows?.

Why isn't the precip. shield further West with the placement of the SLP where it is? Or, is that attributed to a feedback issue possibly?

Got south of lake Murray and just stopped

That wierd speckly /convection that was in the Atlantic on previous runs, are now into GA/SCNAM tried to cut off....

NAM says congrats to those along the GA/SC border. Spitting out over a foot of snow depth by hour 63. Historic snowstorm.
