tidbit from the NWS at Birmingham earlier today. Since 1900 is has snowed 15 times before Christmas in Birmingham. After that first snow, it never snowed again the entire winter.

I wouldn’t be shocked to see FFC extend the warning further south and west if precip comes in heavier than predicted. Interesting as hell to watch this unfold....it’s been a long time since we’ve had one like this.
