I think it is a good forecast TBH. It all depends on how it comes down. It it stays heavy, it will continue to accumulate and keep surface temps down. If it goes back and forth, you may just melt and gain back and never end up with much a one time.

The earliest i ever remember seeing accumulating snow was around Dec 15th ish in 2000. Maybe it was Dec 18. I dont remember the exact date. Does anyone remember that Dec 2000 snow ?

In-house model by some TV stations it can be pretty good sometimes but I do not know the verifications of this model

Looking at the radar it seems to be setting up as we have seen on sims and SR models. Jackson to 20/59 Bham. That cut off is something.

Watch the 925 layer. We had trouble with a mesolow last year that pulled in the warm air. Not sure if this is the same feature or not, but we need to get rid of it or reduce it.
