What have you heard I'm sitting about 30 miles NW of Atl and I'm pretty sure by morning we will have on ground 10 inches got lol over 8 now
I do not know how much to trust ABC33/40 future radar animation but it has it starting IMBY at around midnight and light to moderate snow thru 5am. that would be at least 17 hours of snow for me in a 24 hour period. If that happens that will be the most time since '93 for my location that i can remember.

Maybe a few flickers near 8 pm, but otherwise am fine. I do notice a bit of snow has accumulated on the lines, and trees are sagging, so if we get this band tonight it may cause trouble.
Looking forward to seeing some pictures of these East Alabama snows. I am still waiting on my first 6+ inch Alabama snow, but today was freaking awesome.

I saw it too. Near Windsor Pkwy. I was outside with my teenage daughter and totally geeked out. She didn’t get it. But what’s new?

I got a good 6in. here in Cherokee Co. Alabama. That's a lot more than expected so I'm a happy camper tonight
I have a friend in East AL and she says theres a foot of snow.
Im just hoping and praying we get another few inches like they are predicting. I hate to be greedy but i want more. I dont want it to be over.
Models still want to get the next band going within next couple hours into the night. 05z(midnight) and 10z and 11z (5-6am).

Goodness. If we do get another round of snow we are all going to be so tired tomorrow. Im already sleep deprived from the last few days but i hate to go to sleep and miss any snow.
Unless I see more in the night, I've got 6.5" on the pole in my back yard. I lost probably an inch due to melting during dry spells so I probably had 7.5-8 inches fall. Not bad, and it's by far the largest snowstorm I've lived through besides '93.
I've got a massive limb on one side of the garage and another large limb almost weighed down across my power service. I'm probably not sleeping much tonight.

New band taking shape now I expect rapid development due to upper level jet roaring in rounding the base
Took a 20 minute walk around the subdivision. Three different measurements over 7". Roughly every 30-45 seconds you would hear major tree limb cracking sounds with a few falling. Very thankful for the amazing snow but it will be a long night with the trees cracking.
Exactly 3 hours without power here in WS, NC. Less than 3 inches. What the heck?

This new band is modeled to expand and grow in size and intensity.
Im gonna try to stay up and see what this last band is all about. Hope it doesnt disappoint.

Hopefully this last band will also bring a few inches to our snow starved friends south and east of 85.
Man, the Gulf is an open water hose right now. There's a batch of precipitation coming into southern LA SW of New Orleans. I wonder if that is supposed to be apart of the deformation band as well. Also there's snow returns appearing around and NW of Birmingham.
EDIT: Snow is starting to refill around NE AL also. We should start to see snow move back into ATL by 11pm-Midnight tonight.

Probably just an unsaturated DGZ. That will change again as the deeper precip moves in.
Last HRRR still called for an additional 2-4" with the last band.
Just saw a huge flash of light. I think someone just lost power.
