Wintry Winter Mischief For Upper SE 3/12/18

Just rain here in north Raleigh. Now I am starting to get impatient.

Rain/Sleet/Occasional Wet Snow mix in downtown Raleigh. Latest HЯЯЯЯЯЯЯЯЯ looks good for Wake again.

What does it show? I am at Capital and Spring Forest and it is mostly rain here. Coming down hard, though.

It is raining hard here at the office in north Raleigh. Seems like places further south have changed over to sleet and snow, though.

Rn/ip and an occasional wet slushy flake here in Louisburg

Snow now near Chapel Hill. Very light, its a shame that heavier rain earlier today didn't have the cold surface air to work with. I guess another 10 minutes or so of light snow as the precip moves out and skies clear.

We just launched a sonde from State’s campus several mins ago. We found the warm nose to be about 450m deep and it peaked at 850 hPa around +1.6C, it’s doable if we get more dynamical cooling. It changed over from rain and sleet to all sleet just a few mins ago, I’m holding out hope here.

Wow, good stuff man! That's some awesome on the spot data there.

My house is under a heavier band in SE Wake and it is snowing pretty good. Mulch beds are already turning white. Of course, I'm at work in downtown where nothing is happening other than a little sleet.

Yeah, crazy how localized it is. Mostly rain and sleet here, but my mom is at Capital and New Falls of Neuse and said it is snowing there.

I need that death band to slow down just a hair.... new HRRR looks even better actually wants to go to pound town for the last couple hours of this event
