It also looks like Ukraine has started another counteroffensive south of Lyman as of today.

One would assume Russia has the strategic assets (Fighters/Bombers) to suppress a robust Ukrainian counteroffensive, but do they have the real-time intel to put what has to be a degraded inventory of smart munitions on target? I'm really at a loss here, so many issues with Russia's military arm in this special operation, Putin backed in to a corner is dangerous.

M270 MLRS and M142 HIMARS are not cutting edge stuff, and a pretty quick pickup by even legacy AESA radars from well beyond their viable range if you have eyes in the sky.

Ukrainian soldiers are riding in the back of pickup trucks in to recently occupied territory, lol.

I think it also has a lot to do with morale being in the gutter for the Russians. From the start the stories of Russians not even knowing they were going to war and the lack of will to fight have been circulating. Stories of commanders shooting their own for refusing to fight. Now you add months of getting picked apart and heavy losses the Russians have to be frustrated and just ready to hang it up?
