People generally don't care because they don't perceive any risk to their comfy everyday lives. But there are farther reaching implications of playing the fool than simply watching a war on the tube and going to bed angry over what you see. I've been accused of being "sick" or having super secret inside information or whatever for stating the obvious fact that "sources" claiming this or that is purposeful misinformation. That's fine though.

The sad thing is, many people will indeed believe the narrative that it's all designed to misdirect Russia or "mess with Putin's head". But that's just plain dumb, and there's really no other way to say it. The fact of the matter is that the messaging is entirely meant to shape our perception and play on our emotions. And most of the time, when that is the case, it is meant to get us prepared to accept something. We'll see, but my guess is that when we inevitably engage with Russia, at least some of us will be able to look back and say we saw it coming, while the rest will call us Russia apologists, or whatever the other pejorative term is.

The people in charge of Russia are not benevolent, altruistic people. And there's no doubt that they have done some bad things in Ukraine. There's also no doubt that much of what we see and hear is spun up to maximize our emotional response to it all. Whether you want to recognize that or not is irrelevant to the fact that it's happening. It seems like that would bother more people. I guess the fact that it doesn't indicates that they are well on their way toward achieving their goal.

This latest claim of a Russian atrocity is so idiotic i doubt anyone here believes it. Missile had "For the Children" written on it in Russian? How convenient that managed to survive the explosion or was it written there afterward. My guess is it was a Ukrainian attack on Russian civilians.

Just so I have this straight. You don't believe Russia has committed atrocities in Ukraine?
 
Remember hearing that a lot of those missiles have shells which drop off before impact so some of those missiles you see laying around are the shells/containers. So that message could easily have been written on the shell part(which does not explode) of the missile.

They may have wrote on it after the fact but the missile was fired by the Russians....it hit a train station where people were trying to get out. You know fleeing their homes because Russians invaded their country. Killed women and kids because Russia is deliberately targeting civilians.

Have Ukrainians been shelling Russian areas inside Ukraine for years?
 
I just find it odd that Russians would be attacking an area that is 75% ethnic Russian. And for the hundredth time im aware the media is telling you to think one way and you are. I just wont. And then there is this.



It seems ukrainians are quite capable of sending messages to kids. Sure, im aware the Russians are no angels and committ barbarous acts but so do the barbarous Ukrainians.

Russian Propaganda. Ukraine is the country being invaded. Russia is committing genocide. I don't care how some of you are trying to spin this. This war is black and white who is the aggressor here. I think yall would have defended Hitler in the 30s. What is wrong with you guys. If the US was invaded like this. I wouldn't be surprised if some red blooded Americans did some barbarous acts against the invaders for murderi g innocent women and children here.

I mean read this back to yourself....yes Ukraine has been fighting Russian "separatist" in THEIR country for years.

The is no moral equivalent here no matter how hard you try to make it one. Russia is literally trying to just kill civilians at this point..again if Russia did not invade none of these people would be dead this is 100% on Russia.

Some people want to lump all of history in to this invasion of Ukraine for some silly reason. Then on the other hand, anything that crashes, goes boom or contributes to an innocents death has to pass the propoganda smell test through social media. Hell some of the folks here wont let you feel aweful for people being killed unless you cover the rest of the planet

The day they meet their maker . Our politicians are the same . You think Nancy sleeps well at night ? Biden ? Trump ? Nope none of em sleep well. They are biding their time. Afraid of finally being brought to justice for their sins against the universe .

Normally the entire missile does not impact, there is a warhead separation that occurs in the terminal part of the flight, so the first or second stage depending on the rocket drops off before impact.....lots of the images you see of rockets sticking out of stuff are those stages from Smerch rockets....there are pictures of hundreds, hell probably thousands of these things all over Ukraine now at this point....its one of their most widely used weapons...it also happens with all their other rocket systems but smaller

this is the entire rocket being launched so the rocket part falls off after it shuts off to reduce drag and increase range.....

Yah, they have taken such good care of the young solders they sent unprepared and ill equipped , and uniformed. They want the land and what it has ,people, they have no monetary value and are disposable

Agree with this 100 percent. We are currently witnessing a tyrannical take over of the USA led by the DemocRAT party. At the center of this take over is the systematic destruction of the family and parental rights. You destroy the family unit, it is easier to implement tyrannical policy. That being said both parties share in these sins.

Ah yes, another post about UKRAINE in the UKRAINE thread. This totally reflects UKRAINE and the actions happening in Russian and Ukraine

Please let's not get back into divisive politics. This was never about what you feel about politics here.
