Vladimir Putin, wanting to get on the good side of Russians, goes to visit a school in Moscow to have a chat with the kids.
He talks to them about how Russia is a powerful nation and how he wants the best for the people. At the end of the talk, there is some time for questions.
Little Sasha puts her hand up and says "I have two questions:
Why did the Russians take Crimea? And why are we sending troops to Ukraine?"
Putin says "Good questions..." But just as he is about to answer, the bell goes, and the kids go for lunch.
When they come back, they sit back down and there is room for some more questions so another girl, Misha, puts her hand up and says,"I have four questions. My Questions are:
-Why did the Russians invade Crimea?
-Why are we sending troops to Ukraine?
-Why did the bell go 20 minutes early for lunch?
-And where is Sasha?"
No - not focusing on gas prices ... just a little humor in an otherwise dire situation ... and nothing political ... if we can't smile once in a while, even in the face of adversity, what's the use?Can we focus on the war and not gas prices please? It will only get political and it seems like he’s trying to get the thread locked, again. Ugh ?
Putin wants southern Ukraine (Odessa) because its a warm water port. Been saying it since last week.I called this war back in the mid-2020, and I knew it was going to play during the Biden Administration. Russia was trying to bring the Nordstream pipeline online cause they wanted Europe to rely on their LNG for heat. Oil, LNG and Precious Metals are a huge calculus in this war against Russia, and our NATO allies were building and supporting pipelines cause they knew the price would rise in the winter. It was also considered an immediate National Security issue, and the Biden Administration is currently going to all Russia's allies to make a deal. They're even going back to Saudi Arabia after they burned bridges with them last April. That's all I'll say on it cause I see the warnings at the top of the thread.
I think the most significant foreign policy news today was China's announcement that they consider Russia a "Strategic Partner" despite the war, and this alliance and cooperation was yet another predictable outcome. On 2/2/22, the formalized a Partnership Agreement in which they detail their intentions to work together against NATO. A silent, yet surprising, partner in this alliance is Brazil, and Russia's alliance with India. The countries that aren't condemning Russia rely on them and their partners for exports, particularly food. People are going to starve in US strategic points like Egypt to the Horn of Africa and throughout the Middle East. If Russia takes control over Ukraine's agricultural sector, they will have leverage over trade routes through the Suez Canal. That's why Israel ain't saying S##t either.
That sounds like a bad way to go....."Liquidated"

ATM's everywhere lol.....Russia is losing dozens if not hundreds of vehicles of all kind every day this is not sustainable....
Yes indeed. I don’t want that in my obituary. That sounds like a bad way to go.....
Today, we’ll start with a little Russian underground joke.
Now for a random thought—
I usually don’t talk about expensive trips, but I just went to the grocery store. Made it even more memorable when I stopped for gas.
I understand. I was making a point to rub it in on someone else. Like a gag on them.My intent was not to go that far ... just a smile amidst all the sorrow ...
Well it seems Russia is reducing their demands which is certainly a good sign. Previously it was total removal of all military. But seriously we have read nothing but bad news about Russian troops and armor since the war started. What's the most accurate accounting of losses so far? How much are they willing to commit of their total military? If these numbers are even half true this isn't sustainable much longer without using a different tactic.
And he is facing bloodshed when they get into Kiev with the morale I am seeing. I have seen very little of the Russian military machine that impressed me. That technology is useless without a plan and warriors to make the best use of it. Yes he can kill and destroy from the air but you don't occupy a damn thing without foot soldiersWell it seems Russia is reducing their demands which is certainly a good sign.
