Really listening to the videos there is mostly just small arms fire....probably a lot of nervous Ukrainians shooting out their windows all over town....there seems to be a few spots were there is heavier fighting but there does not sound like there is a lot of bigger stuff like ATM and arty in most parts of Kyiv so maybe the Russians are not as far into town as people think.

Sure but they keep getting their butts kicked trying to take them.....Putin does not want to turn out the power by wrecking the infrastructure he plans on installing a puppet government and needs to keep power available versus not have power out for months while they rebuild power plants....

They could also just cut the main transmission lines.

Multiple streams coming in and still heavy conflict as dawn settles, but from what I can tell most objectives are holding. Very bloody.
 
If Russia tries to move into western Ukraine I suspect Poland and Romania will attempt to create a safe zone and put their troops in western Ukraine to try and force Russia to leave a part of the country free to allow a place for refugees and the true Ukraine government to setup....

The US needs to get these over to Poland ASAP...

With no re supply, eventually the resources to defend these metros will run out. World can sanction everything but puttins ATM [oil] send money all they want.
What Ukraine needs is weaponry. Not sure if thats logistically possible anymore as Russia has secured roads outside the 3 big cities.
