Yep, though it’s hard to see how this would be bigger than the decade long Balkan Wars.To be fair he did qualify it by saying Europe, which if the Russians go full out into Ukraine would be accurate.

It was a war NATO intervened in, as well. Twice.Yea, I think the biggest Europe war since 1945 was Yugoslavia breaking up in the 90's. Nasty war locally if I recall, but didn't have as much global importance. Both sides in this one have more firepower obviously.
Nobody knows anything, but it doesn't stop them from saying anything.
They havent invaded yet?
We have telegraphed what we knew Russia was doing openly and matter of factly and i think that was meant to send the message that Russia wasn't fooling anyone with false flags and reports of withdrawals. USA has shared lots of intel it previously would not have. I think its been a benefit to some degree here.Aside from small scale incursions, I think the days are over of surprise invasions. We are ~20 years removed from Operation Iraqi Freedom, US Govt used information as a weapon here, to great effect. Public information sharing just adds to it. Twitter, Facebook and the iPhone did not exist when we invaded Iraq in 2003, food for thought.
CNN —
The US has intelligence indicating orders have been sent to Russian commanders to proceed with an attack on Ukraine, according to two US officials and another source familiar with the US intelligence.
The intelligence regarding the order to tactical commanders and intelligence operatives is one of several indicators the US is watching to assess if Russian preparations have entered their final stages for a potential invasion.
Other indicators, such as electronic jamming and widespread cyberattacks, have not yet been observed, according to some of the sources. The sources cautioned that orders can always be withdrawn or that it could be misinformation meant to confuse and mislead the US and allies.

Agreed. I've been on the no invasion train from the get go. These people love the spotlight.Yeah how confusing. My money is on the summit. We'll see.
Agreed, I don’t see how he doesn’t invade at this point in at least some limited fashion. I can’t imagine any scenario where Russia backs down now and doesn’t come out the loser from all of this. Putin isn’t going to allow himself to be made to look like a weak fool here.I'm still a firm believer he goes in then a few days later says he will talk. Putin isn't gonna just back down and look like a clown and the US and NATO will never agree to his demands . Scheduling meetings is one thing , getting there is another

Investing.comI used to use CNN's website back in late 2019/early 2020 to look at futures but just as a FWIW, it's not useful to use unless you really look into it as it can be inaccurate, and it doesn't look fully accurate today.
Yahoo Finance is the place that I would use, but since the market is closed tomorrow, I don't think they're up. They'd have to be looked for.
Anyway, on topic, I was looking for something to happen early this week, but really, if nothing happens by this week, I'll be skeptical about anything at all. I felt as if you may see an announcement that Russia is going to support those in Donbas.
Sure looks like the WH wants a war more than anyone. I wonder why?
