After not having had any precip since Saturday 2/12 and having had light winds, the area is forecasted along with windier conditions (15-25 knot southerly winds) to get 0.25-0.75" of a combo of cold rain (30s) and some snow starting tomorrow afternoon NW areas (NE Ukraine border area) and then moving southeastward and reaching SE areas late tomorrow night. It ends tomorrow evening NW areas and by early afternoon Friday SE areas. This precip has been well forecasted by the GFS for at least a week:

The Intelligence Community has many options including communication intercepted informants on the ground ECT plus there's protocols in place that goes through all intelligence on an issue and then determine how credible it is.

Sure looks like the Russians are gonna go into Donbas/Luhansk under the pretext of supporting pro Russian separatist....those forces are breaking the ceasefire this morning and any retaliation by Ukrainian forces could be the "excuse" Putin is waiting for.

Is Putin just screwing with everyone....sure seems like it.

He could be, there is no upside of Putin actually sending Russian troops into the Ukraine.....its lose lose......I think his goal is to bolster the Donbas region and create as much unrest in the Ukraine as possible. This morning they are testing the waters to see what they can get away with in that region.

The separatist attacks this morning breaking the ceasefire are quickly being labeled "false flag" by western leaders, this is exactly how to play it, stay ahead of Putin the best they can on message and do not let Putin drive the narrative. Keep in mind the people in Russia are something like 90% against any Russian intervention in Ukraine. Not that that matters as much there as it would here since Putin does not have to worry about being voted out or how the public feels about his actions. The cost in troops and equipment would be high for Russia, they would lose thousands of soldiers quickly I think, Ukraine has decent anti armor capabilities, along with the ability to place artillery and rockets on targets as soon as the first Russian foot crosses their border. The Ukraine would suffer heavily though both in troops and civilian deaths.

This is a discussion board if you don't like what you see or read I suggest you read a book

I do. I just finished Lord of the Rings (All 3). It's a good read and i highly recommend it. It's way better than the movies.

I'm not saying not to discuss, but hyper ventilating every single tweet someone makes just ratchets up tensions and further drives the hysteria.

You have such a media driven hysteria that you have random people on twitter trying to find any and all contradictions to what Russia or Ukraine Say. It's ALMOST like these twitter sleuths want the war to happen, just so they can save face and be right on the narrative they spent weeks ratcheting up.

The “tensions” on a forum don’t do a lot to drive hysteria bud. You may be SLIGHTLY overestimating the reaches of this forum. ?
