Note the spacing of armor in an urban environment, Ukraine learned a lot from western doctrine. Most we don’t see or will never know, but the result of pretty clear at this very early stage.

Sure as ---- not seeing that from the Russians, some highways show them bumper to bumper.....where are some A-10's when you really need them lol....

System impacting the northern Black Sea coast over the next couple days, not optimal for an amphibious landing.

Understanding is close to a division is still at sea and not landed yet. Odessa was the original target with an expectation of supply lines from force that landed in the Sea of Azov a couple days ago, and southern axis would have caught up. Currently delayed.

Air supiority is a biggie for Ukraine to hold on.
If the report of nato air support is true then they will give the Russians hell on controlling the airspace.

So what's the risk of sending Belarus and Chechnya some warnings with a couple cruise missles? A way to tell them to stay out of it?

Looks like Kyiv may soon be threatened from the east. Russian forces have made substantial progress from that direction over the last day.

There are about 2k Russian marines holding the port at Odesa. They have elected not to take the city at this point. The relief force coming from Crimea has now been diverted back towards the east and southeast part of Ukraine.

And the country that might as well be in the Russian Federation does this today...

Again no surprise here, as you noted, they basically are a Russian state. Part of the propaganda machine from Russia, looks like "another country" supports their efforts.

In my opinion Odessa is the prize he wants in Ukraine. Sure there are several reasons but it all comes down to energy, and control of the flow of it in the region. Its a warm water port

More info from same article above. Passing along

Russian-led forces take control of Nikolayevka

Russian-led forces have taken control of the historically significant town of Nikolayevka, where Soviet forces broke out during the second world war during the Battle of Stalingrad.
Analysts say Russian forces could now begin to consolidate and make gains that would allow them to push towards the Black Sea.

-- is writing off 25 billion and permanently banning Russian investments, 2 board members resign and is also selling off two sub units. Expect other energy players to also walk away, especially given SWIFT cutoff by west.

I said it a couple days ago, this is the largest mobilized army in Europe since WW2, Facebook, Twitter and the iPhone did not exist during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003.

This war is redefining modern warfare. World leaders are going to think twice before going against the majority. Including ?? Imo. The monetary fallout is endless.

This should show our leaders the importance of being a self sufficient country that doesn’t rely on imports. If you can supply everything your citizens need then you essentially have rogue nations backed into an eternal corner. Game over. Open up those pipelines and incentivize companies to stay in the US.

Questions around if NATO wants to take the ground patriot mission, highly capable veterans surging in, expect this to be a story over the coming days. Some chatter pilots could also be involved.

A ---- ton of sectors will be locking down after this, impacts will be for many years.
