To be fair, the US really hasn't done anything under the present leadership either. A few sanctions..... big deal. The only thing that came from that was an increase in gas/food prices for the Americans that really can't afford it already. Putin is not suffering. If they want to show me something, open the pipeline that was shut down, put the coal miners back to work, increase our oil production, and stop acting like confused mental patients. Do you think Russia/China care about climate change???? give me a break. Why are we being punished??

Oher than send billions in military aid, the lead the world in enacting some of the toughest sanctions a nation has ever had to face. Then Biden actually makes statements calling Putin what he is, a war criminal and calling for his ouster.....on the other hand we got a guy calling him a genius and asking for his help uncovering information about Hunter, imagine asking a man who is currently destabilizing an entire region, if not the entire world on many levels, for help with a grudge you have because your a big whiny baby.

I thought we were talking about the effects of the war, not Hunter Biden. The entire free world knows he is a criminal....even the democrats. I have moved on from that. Bottom line is, Americans are suffering from the effects of the sanctions..... where is our billions in aid money??? Instead of giving money away, how about lowering gas prices..... Biden has the power to ease the energy crisis and refuses to budge. Releasing our critical oil reserves does nothing at all. We have seen that. Under the past administration, we were striving for energy independence. Then Biden reversed those policies which would have been so beneficial now. He made a HUGE mistake and everyone knows it.... including him.

Biden should have stationed troops on the Ukrainian and Russian border when the first signs of a invasion were coming. Putin would have whined because he was outmatched and would not have attempted the invasion and he would not have any justification of nuking. The US should have led peace through power. Our leaders half a****g of everything lately is really hurting the everyday person.

If you think for one second that Biden is your savior, you really need help my friend. Like it or not, Putin recognized that America had a weak leader and he took advantage of the fact that Biden wouldn't put troops on the ground in Ukraine...... When Biden withdrew from Afghanistan, he gave Putin the green-light. Everyone knows it, the media just won't say it.

Neither would trump. He would have weakened nato even more than he already had, but this isn't a political thread

Ukraine is not a member of NATO so we can't go in and station our troops anywhere we have a whim to without that being considered an act of aggression. That is a terrible idea unless you want a direct war with Russia on your hands and the blood of Americans to go along with it.

There were troops in Ukraine before the invasion. Russia doesn't dictate where troops could be in Ukraine could be at the time. There is no law saying a country can't request military assistance. Biden followed Putin's orders and withdrew. Biden got played.

How many troops? Troops with what? Small arms? Is one of them gonna be you or someone from your family? Boots even from America wouldn't have deterred Putin

We have green berets all over the world training allies. They aren’t in those places to fight or scare off dictators. Biden did a horrible job with this and continues to do so but keeping our fighting force out of it is the one good thing he did

Its part of the 82nd from Bragg...after what we have seen out of the Russians, I am pretty sure those guys could get it done by themselves with a little help from the air force.

Yes it would, it would be a automatic conflict with America if Putin invaded. Putin's Crazy, but I doubt he would be that crazy. He would not have done that and China would probably not have supported Putin in that case.

NO it wouldn't and why would you put American soldiers on a border as a shield? Thats flat out stupid. We have soldiers killed all the time in hot spots and we dont go to war over it. Would you want your kid on that border?

Again, why would Putin request American's leaving before he invaded if he would have done it anyways. He knew he couldn't have invaded without America leaving Ukraine. What's stupid is this quagmire the world is in. This was all avoidable. US should lead peace through power.

You act like we had a true fighting force in Ukraine before the invasion. The info I saw was we only had 160 national guard troops that were training local forces in Ukraine. 160 National Guard troops would not have been any deterrent at all to Putin
 
I'd encourage a lot of you guys in this thread to ask for access to the political area. Most of the recent conversation here will no longer be allowed outside of the political section
