It's really losing any arctic connection which is the theme for a while now. That said this pattern is getting more and more ripe to cut and trap. Wouldn't be surprised at all if we have a cutoff within the next 2-3 weeks over the region for days

As long as we don't get a cutoff that hangs around or a sneaky arctic wave 4/12-19 is going to be an impressive warm period
The 12z GFS is showing up to 10 inches of rain in parts of NC and SC, mostly from a cutoff it looks like. It's also slowly warming this coming weekend up, especially on Sunday. Hopefully we will get the Masters done on time.
This is a far cry from what it was showing not too long ago. Glad we don't need to be too concerned with drought right now.

Looking forward to the three solid wedge days for the upcoming weekend. Probably the last to this degree of cool. The furnace is about to be on full blast through the next 6 to 7 months. My days are numbered. Just a few left.
The Euro once again playing catch-up. Keeps the party going through D10, and the GFS keeps it going through D16.
