Still no Alex

However, the associated convection is poorly
organized, with radar data from Cuba and Mexico showing that the
strong convection over the northwestern Caribbean Sea more resembles
a mid-latitude squall line than a tropical cyclone rain band.

Moved 10 miles south of West Palm Beach from Charlotte, NC just over 2 years ago, checking in. Not much action here currently, just a steady rain and the wind hasn't really kicked up yet. Looks like the bulk of the moisture is just to my south, I'm sure we will have some flooding issues tomorrow. Will snap some pics in the AM if they are worthy.

So is Potential Tropical Cyclone the new name for a Tropical Depression?

No it's just a new thing where they issue watches and warnings for a potential storm. This all started because Sandy happened with no hurricane warnings. The impacts don't go away just because of the classification basically is the whole point of a PTC which I mean to be fair even if this was named the impacts wouldn't be any different it's had hints of TS winds on and off for 2 days

If it had a well defined center it would be a TD or a TS even

Looks like it may be trying to reform east of Florida per the recon. The winds support Alex if they find a center nidcxRy.png
