If they want to win the young vote or have a shot at it (which makes up a considerable amount and is growing) they need more than promising tax cuts because they know the little asterisk by it now has a meaning, and it's not for them. Even if it was, it's nullified by the inflation, tariffs, war costs, and industry changes. If we are in fact facing something historic in the labor market and the full red govt's reaction is cut safety nets, of course they're going to lose.It would be easy for repubs to win it all 2028. But they want listen to me so.
Rubio is the best communicator they have. Period and in a league of his own.
Repubs need hispanic and blue collar working nuclear family/ GOD Family Country alliance like they had in 24 to do it.
Rubio would put that together by grabbing hispanic vote back and repubs should run on flat tax or consumption only/ no payroll tax.working class not baked in the 3 big idealogies that define dem party would hire them right back. Game set Match!
Repubs will never capture white yuppie woke crowd/ socialist/ Islam folks in the Dem Block.they could peel off at a max maybe 5-10% of african american crowd from the dem block.that would tip em over top.
You need to get real jobs, fix the labor market gap (minimum and low wage jobs growing, high paying jobs shrinking), the housing situation, and healthcare at the very least. Housing isn't affordable and asking someone to live 2 hours from work to afford a house should never have become the status quo, nor charging them 50-70% of their income on rent alone for a studio. For healthcare, I'm sure everyone is sick of the exploitation of all insurers when other nations get way better for less. They want policies to slash greed and 10000% mark-ups in that industry, which is likely a reason we saw Jackson lose GA due to his ownership of a healthcare company himself.
People also DO NOT want datacenters, except the small town in N Dakota. Telling people their house values are going to go up because of them at the cost of stillborn animals at farms and a constant roar isn't a life people want.
Combine the demoralized republican voters with an angry crowd wanting to purge the presidency assuming it's 2 years of noncooperation? If the dems play it right and in states with high control like TX and GA they just won, and they run a reasonably strong candidate instead of someone like Newsom or AOC, and the republicans choose a weak or Trump-associated candidate, I doubt we see a red wave or anything republican in full control. Might get a partial control where states see no improvements with dems, but people are sick of electing people who suck up to billionaires and super old people.
As we saw Tuesday night, people Trump touches are radioactive politically, so if anyone from his cabinet runs for president, they're just going to feel the same effect.
Also, no new wars or foreign policy failures. People are sick of seeing the rational distaste for our nation's actions against others or sudden praise of Russia, China, and N. Korea and alienation of our European allies as well as our neighbors. Get someone to help clean up the wars or fix foreign policy issues we've created the last decade and keep it going past their terms so we stop looking ridiculous and irrational on the world stage, causing what the republican party was so against to come true anyway, which is the US losing global influence and China beating us. It starves our economy.
If I've learned anything over the past several elections, people want more of the same if it works, but revolt at the polls if it doesn't. We haven't worked for awhile, so that's why we keep flipping aggressively.
