Latest gfs run looks colder for many areas.
The La Palma Volvano has erupted, which is off the coast of Africa. It will be interesting to see the impacts, and if the ash can make it to the stratosphere.

Better hope it doesn't cause a landslide. The tsunami would be huge.

I’d be shocked if it came off all at once. If there is a landslide, it would crumble, which wouldn’t be as big a deal.

There's a fault going through the middle of the island and yes it would go all at once creating a wave several hundred feet high.

It was luck. I would love to see a win for sure but we need to rebuild and that means a few years picking in the top 5.

The idea that it would all go at once has already been debunked as sensationalism as that would be extremely unlikely. As @Ollie Williams said, "if there is a landslide, it would crumble, which wouldn’t be as big a deal."

Gonna hope and pray this is overdone…
It's a pretty deep ESE to SE flow for your guys for a while today and tomorrow. Multiple inches of rain seem like a good bet but that hrrr run might be overdone.

No kidding. It's almost a flow we would see with a closed or strong negative tilt flow. I just looked at the euro and it's got some 5+ totals in the mountains so that hrrr run might not be far off
I'm interested to see where/if a band of heavy rain sets up across Central NC tomorrow. The setup seems to favor one across the sandhills into the central piedmont but the euro/eps most cams are relatively dry tomorrow into early Wednesday

There are pros and cons to this
Pros: drastic cooling of day to day temps, some added rainfall from frontal passages, these large troughs are probably going to save us from any type of tropical system while they are still around
Cons: fros pool closes
I trust this GOA trough big western/central us ridge pattern about 0% but we could sneak out with a good 10-14 day period of normal to below.
Yeah the 6z nam is at least a low end tor/wind threat. If we realize a good amount of sun Wednesday and are in the mid to upper 80s things might heat up a bit as far as the severe threat goes
Solid severe threat on the NAM 
Nam is slow with the front and even slower with the 850/700mb troughs. We get stuck in clouds/light showers Thursday
