IMBY, September is giving April a run for the driest month of 2021. I only had 1.75” in April and I’m at 0.74” MTD. I‘ve not had a good soaking rain since August 26. Tropical events have been bust in terms of helping out with rain totals.

Question: The precipitable water map, is there a formula to determine rainfall rates or is it use for a possibility amount??
It’s a good thing this thing is a little to far north to really influence low level shear more, still a good setup for rain/isolated severe storms (perhaps line segments/multicells) given the increasing mid level flow

Euro is definitely the most aggressive solution with a digging, negatively tilted trough, far enough south to allow a pretty impressive low level jet further south 
And it continues to rain.

Honestly I would take our chances if we get that pattern again! We would have plenty of chances for things to go right
I think that pattern could be better this year simply because we’re seeing the source regions of NW Canada and northern AK cool much quicker than what they did a year ago.
