Obviously other factors at play but this October pattern isn't really that abnormal or unexpected. I would expect the means to wash out any eastern troughing in the extended but we will be fighting that battle all month regardless. More typhoons=more eastern trough

The temp drop in Atl was pretty dramatic in the last 15 mins,,,76, now 61 at my house, wind and sporadic rain, felt almost cold, lol,,,I had to put on a light long sleeve henley shirt.
Under a Flood Advisory. Yay!

GFS says I'm back into the mid 80's next week. At least it keeps the dewpoint down around the high 50's. I really want to be done with Summer, but it looks like it's going to return a few more times before November.
I see a very ominous training potential here over wake county
Like you said at least dews are low and we aren't getting as many warm/hot days strung together. I can deal with 84/55
What do you know another storm goes bonkers in wake county. A tradition unlike any other

You can really see that line of storms associated with the front starting to form in WNC extending down into GA. That will only be enhanced once it moves away from the high country.
Absolute rain storm outside .. the wall of water is deafening on the window right now
