Thunder can be hard to hear when it's raining at 2"+ per hour.

Why I don't say anything about a little drought here. We are more likely to have a flood cause more damage and problems than a drought.

WRAL reporting multiple lanes of 440 near Glenwood Ave in Raleigh are under water

Harnett, southern Wake and northwestern Johnston Counties through 115
PM EDT...
At 1220 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Fuquay-Varina, or 10 miles south of Cary, moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Raleigh, Cary, Smithfield, Garner, Fuquay-Varina, Clayton, Angier,
Apex, Holly Springs and Knightdale.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This essentially morphed into a predecessor rainfall event induced by Mindy
Temp briefly held at 71 probably only get to 73 today
That’s a monster ridge on the GFS 
Raining heavily now. And I just heard *gasp* thunder!

When I tell you it feels fantastic outside. Currently 81/57 and a N wind at 10 mph. It's absolutely perfect.
The wind shifted here to the NW about and hour ago and the dewpoint has already fallen from 72 to 63. Definitely feeling a lot better outside now

Woke up and the DP was only 64 and now it's down to 55. only way this day would be better is if it was 65/55 with that north wind at 10mph and full sunshine.
Summer 2.0 incoming, like how we go from a larger CONUS ridge to a more eastern ridge around day 10

Very September ish
One day we’ll get this sort of agreement for a winter storm 
We will enjoy the next 6 or so days with lower dew points at least and I doubt we get too hot even with this look maybe some low 90s but I doubt we see anymore mid to upper 90s for the rest of the season .. but simply just my opinion it looks hot for some days but bearable

Wont be bearable for me unless we get some much needed rain. But yeah, I can handle low 90s with the dewpoint out of the 70s.
