mOne day of cool weather then it's back to 90s on Monday.
It is for most of us. Brent is one of the few unfortunate ones.m
You told me summer was over???
I can’t wait for fall conditions come Late October. It is for most of us. Brent is one of the few unfortunate ones.
I’ll like this even though I know we will be getting much more fall like weather earlier in October MAYBE late September if we can get a hurricane to pull a front far enough down … but once we get that consistent fall weather late October … yeah that’ll be nice asfI can’t wait for fall conditions come Late October.
I have seen strong cold fronts in the middle of September. The kind that bring highs near 70 and lows near 50 in GA. I know it happened in 2000 and I believe also in 2001. I'm sure it's happened other years as well.I’ll like this even though I know we will be getting much more fall like weather earlier in October MAYBE late September if we can get a hurricane to pull a front far enough down … but once we get that consistent fall weather late October … yeah that’ll be nice asf
That’s what we’ve come too!?I can’t wait for fall conditions come Late December
I'll take cool and cold weather whenever it is available. We still don't know jack about long range forecasting. La Nina this or El Nino that or big +/- QBO or MJO blah blah blah. All that stuff works in concert, not to mention the fact that there are so many flavors of ENSO and ENSO mixed with everything else. We're left scratching our heads when it things don't go how we think. I'll take the cold whenever it shows up. The atmosphere doesn't care that it was cold in November. It can just as easily be cold in December and January too.I'll go ahead and post it before anyone else decides to post it. Happens every year, the same thing is said.
"We do not need to have our cold spells this early we need to time it just right for December cold and January. If we get cold now we will be warming November and December blah blah blah blah blah."
Not saying there's not some truth to that but I still wanted to be the first to post it.
Yeah I have not seen snow in 3 years living in North Carolina... And two of those three years was supposed to be decent years.I'll take cool and cold weather whenever it is available. If you don’t have -NAO it’s going to be a bad year regardless … i dont know why Everyone things the south is suppose to have good winters .. we average less than 4 inches .. we not suppose to see snow down here that’s why we close every time it does .. I’m a snow weenie so it’s hard to admit it but if you’re expecting big or decent winter weather events you’re living in the wrong placeYeah I have not seen snow in 3 years living in North Carolina... -NAOs are good but if we’re not getting a good source of cold air they don’t really help… last winter showed that. The biggest snowfall I’ve had in the last decade were the back to back storms in February 2014… that occurred with a +NAOIf you don’t have -NAO it’s going to be a bad year regardless … i dont know why Everyone things the south is suppose to have good winters .. we average less than 4 inches .. we not suppose to see snow down here that’s why we close every time it does .. True we will get a good storm then torch from the SER rest of winter .. only way we fight that SER is a -NAO-NAOs are good but if we’re not getting a good source of cold air they don’t really help… last winter showed that. This is what I'm talking about. Everybody seems to latch onto their favorite index. But all of this is so much more complicated than that. I agree that an -NAO can be good. But there are about 5 other things that need to happen too. We haven't broken the code to figuring it out yet.If you don’t have -NAO it’s going to be a bad year regardless … i dont know why Everyone things the south is suppose to have good winters .. we average less than 4 inches .. we not suppose to see snow down here that’s why we close every time it does .. Below 30 and tons of moisture is my favorite index. This is what I'm talking about. Everybody seems to latch onto their favorite index. But all of this is so much more complicated than that. Okay certainly agree here .. south needs a lot of puzzle pieces.. all the north needs is a dry cold front and someone’s getting high ratio snow smhThis is what I'm talking about.
