Cousins is pretty decent and probably would be a good mentor to a young QB from the draft, but I'd rather Arthur Blank sell the team at this point, it's very likely to continue to turn out that Brady made Belichick.

(seems like Blank is desperate to get a Super Bowl for the Falcons before he passes away)
 
Do any of you guys still watch nascar? After some of the older drivers retired I can’t seem to get into it anymore. Is it just me?

It's nothing like it used to be watching it since 92. Just like everything else in the world it has changed so much it's hard to watch anymore for me also. I don't agree with all the changes they have done to the sport to get away from it's roots. It's like watching a Nascar race today is like suffering through a southeast winter around here these days. Almost unbearable to watch.
 
I mean maybe he’s the second coming of Belichick and his second act becomes the best ever but most NFL retreads don’t work out.

I much prefer our hire of Canales.
 
If I lived in Atlanta, I would strongly consider taking a "Sell the Team, Arthur Blank" sign to a game at this point.

I didn't want Belichick, but going with Raheem Morris isn't a great move and has Rich McKay fingerprints on it (as in, McKay needs to go for a better hire to be brought in).

Some analysts and Jalen Ramsey thinks it’s a good hire
 
Some second time head coaches work out great in the NFL. Can’t be worse than what we’ve had.
 
I can honestly say this isn't Tepper's worse decision that's for sure. Now how about work on getting some talent for Canales to coach

Right, I've said this before and nothing against Bryce, I like the guy, but if you can't see over your O-line it's hard to complete passes. Unless you have rare talent, yes there have been a couple of exceptions over the years but not many

Panthers are such a mess. No idea about the new coach, but he's in such a hole to start. Really should have drafted Stroud imo.

It's not a quick fix that's for sure. As far as Canales goes, seems there are mixed reviews but he has done some good things with QBs and Offenses in the past, of course, he also had some weapons in those situations. Will be a test for him for sure and honestly I don't think I won't to be a part of a David Tepper organization, wish he would sell or at least get out of the way.

I'd love for him to bring mike Evans with him but then you have have 2 football old guys in Theilen and Evans at WR.

My concern with the guy is the bucs were statistically one of the worst rushing teams in the NFL and the panthers were already bad. If they are going to depend on bryce like the bucs did baker. Oof

Bryce had the lowest percentage of playaction passes in the entire league - I think I saw 9% of our plays were playaction. When the defense pretty much knows that 90% of the time, a pass looks like a pass, thats a problem. The few times we had more diverse playcalling and he was protected, he played well. Our offensive line is also sorta mismatched for the playcalling as we have guys more suited to run block than pass protect.

The one game I went to this year against Minnesota, our play calling was so predictable that I could guess when we were running the ball and passing. We literally had Sanders in on all running plays, and whenever Chuba came in I knew we were passing the ball.

I really think Reich and his staff wanted Stroud, and pretty much mailed it in when we took Bryce in the draft. I heard the stat somewhere before the draft that Reich had never coached a quarterback shorter than 6’3”. I also recall Josh McCown basically telling Stroud that he looked forward to coaching him.

That being said, Bryce is a very smart and talented football player, but unlike other short quarterbacks like Russell Wilson or Drew Brees, he doesn’t currently have the build to be in the NFL. He is not going to be in the NFL long if he continues to take the punishment he was taking this season. Hopefully he spends the offseason conditioning, and hopefully our play calling can do more next season to keep him out of long down and yardage situations. Gotta be able to establish a running game to do this. Doesn’t bode very well for us since the Bucs were dead last in yards per carry in 2023.

The hire goes along with Teppers vision for a finesse “exciting” passing offense, which is not going to work with our current roster. Tepper needs to butt out completely and let the people that know football handle football.

I see him some games as my daughter is a Senior cheerleader. He has heart, grit, and a high motor. Jump shot looks good from inside the arc too.

I think he will be a “Theo Pinson” type player with a little more aggression to score.

Stat lines will look like 14 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals, and a block per game.
